Course Description:This course is a fundamental reading course designed for the first-year liberal arts majors. Through lectures, exercises, and discussions, students will practice their reading skills, increase vocabulary and critical thinking skills. Numerous reading strategies will be introduced, such as synthesizing information, compare and contrast etc. Students are also expected to apply reading skills in a variety of courses.
