Each person has their own unique personality. Some are extroverted and emotional, others are introverted and sensitive. In an age where diversity and tolerance are prized, Arete students want to explore their personality undertones through a scientific approach to better understand themselves and help them grow.
On the evening of 17 March, Mr Weifeng Wang, founder of Future Mind Psychology, youth education training expert and senior hypnosis instructor of the International Ericksonian School, gave a psychology lecture to Arete students to reveal the core of their personality.
He started by asking everyone to choose five cards each from the twenty-four red, yellow, blue and green Personality Rubik's Cube cards that best matched, better matched and least matched their personality and arranged them in three columns.
Yellow stood for practicality, blue for perfection, red for freedom and green for harmony. By using the scores of each colour and the number of ABs on the cards, he deduced the character of each student, which was unanimously confirmed by the students.
"High blue and yellow scores show you have a talent for being an entrepreneur."
"You have a similar number of AB cards, have you had some anxiety lately?"
Arete students also discussed mental health issues with Mr Wang and actively sought his advice on how to improve them.
