Recently, many of our first year students have received offers from overseas universities and some are still waiting for the results. In the face of their upcoming study abroad experience, Arete College's Education Department is conducting visa guidance and pre-travel training sessions for Commonwealth and US/Canada students respectively. The main topics of the training include visa documents and process, visa delivery notes, accommodation and air tickets, pre-travel safety and other matters.
On the morning of Wednesday 31 May, Paul explained the US visa application process and the dos and don'ts for students from the US and Canada.
On the afternoon of Friday 2 June, Jenny held an online guidance session for Commonwealth students, including timetable, visa guidance and pre-departure training. There was also a talk with two university students in UK about accommodation, food, part-time jobs, clubs and cultural differences.
