2023 at Arete College was held in great style! Distinguished guests and proud parents gathered together to witness as 60 freshmen and pre-college students set sail on their journey, embarking on a new chapter of their lives at Arete College!

Pre-college student Wang Huining kicked off the opening ceremony with a captivating performance of the song "Wildest Dreams"!

Today's hosts for the opening ceremony are Gao Haotong and Yan Yuxi, both of whom are freshmen of the Class of 2023 at Arete College.

At the beginning of the ceremony, Professor Xu Shuying, the Chair of the Academic Advisory Committee of Arete College and a renowned management scholar who previously served as the President of the American Management Association, sent her congratulations from across the ocean.  She hopes that the students will embody the spirit of CARE at Arete College, emphasizing lifelong learning, lifelong care, and lifelong excellence.

Dr. Xiao Zhixing, the founder of Arete College and the Chair of the Academic Committee of Ling Jiao Workshop, believes that perseverance and resilience are the most prominent qualities in an entrepreneur. He encourages every individual who comes to Arete College as a "future entrepreneur" to embody these qualities.

Arete College owes its success to the unwavering support of many entrepreneurs, among which Zhende Medical Group stands out. Dr. Xiao Zhixing, the founder of Arete College, presented Mr. Hu Junwu, Vice President of Zhende Medical Group, with a commemorative plaque as a symbol of our collaborative partnership. We express our deepest gratitude to Zhende Medical Group for their invaluable contribution to the establishment and growth of Arete College.

To the esteemed Guest Professor at Arete College and Dr. Li Yayan, a Ph.D. in Psychology from Princeton University,Dr. Li Yayan is highly enthusiastic about the students' ability to seize the opportunity of studying in a fully English-immersive environment at Arete College and lay a solid foundation for their future study abroad experiences.Coincidentally, today being Teacher's Day, the students have also expressed their heartfelt gratitude by presenting beautiful flowers to Dr. Li as a token of appreciation.

Mr. Sun Yang, the father of freshman student Sun Chenliang and the founder and chairman of Wuhan Huamin Measurement & Control Technology Co., Ltd., is speaking on behalf of the parents.

According to Mr. Sun Yang, he believes that true talent lies in being a well-rounded individual rather than solely focusing on acquiring knowledge. The emphasis should not be placed solely on intellectual development but also on developing other important aspects of one's character.

Mr. Chai Chunqing, the chief editor of the 'Journal of Beijing Education Institute' and 'Research on Teacher Development,' delivered a speech.  He said,

Students coming to Zhi Ji represents a collaboration between you and the institute,

together creating a unique and innovative educational model!

Fu Yu, a student from the Arete Class of 2022, extends heartfelt wishes to the younger students.

After a speech by Huang Zhihang, the representative of the freshman class, he received the university emblem symbolizing the identity of Zhi Ji from Dean Ma Yehua. He also undertook the earnest expectations of the university leadership.

The freshmen also received the university flag from their senior classmates, carrying the weighty responsibilities entrusted by their predecessors and alumni. This represents the passing on of the Arete College's philosophy and the integration of knowledge and action in upholding the values of Arete College.

In the enchanting melodies that long for love and beauty, the opening ceremony of Arete College for the class of 2023 has successfully concluded!  We express our gratitude to every guest for their presence.  With each enthusiast of Arete as a witness, the students will set sail from the starting point of Arete and embark on their journey towards every distant places!
